Already this month we have responded to 49 total calls including 5 structure fires, 3 vehicle fires, 2 vehicle collisions with entrapment, 4 other vehicle collisions with injuries, and numerous medical emergencies.
25 of those calls were in the last 5 days and had 36 unit responses from our station.
Saturday 7/5: E41 responded to the 5500 Block of Bethel Rd to assist Winfield with a hay baler on fire. The fire was contained on arrival and handled by Winfield.
RE4, CF4A, and WS42 responded to the 2800 Block of Flag Marsh Rd for a vehicle collision with entrapment. RE4 and CF4A assisted with extrication and WS42 assisted with a helicopter landing site for MSP Trooper 3.
Tuesday 7/8: E41 and RE4 responded to the unit block of Obrecht Rd in Sykesville for a working house fire. E41 assisted with investigation and RE4 was part of rapid intervention dispatch. Additional members remained at the station staffing TNK4 and WS42.
Wednesday 7/9: E41, TNK4, P45, and CF4 responded to the 1300 Block of Saint Michaels Rd for a reported appliance fire. E41 arrived and found a malfunctioning stove, and placed the assignment in service.
E41, TNK4, and P46 responded to the 3400 Block of Jennings Chapel Rd for smoke in a house. E41 arrived first and investigated a malfunctioning light socket before placing the assignment in service.
