| Lisbon members attended a class on Protective Envelope and Foam held Saturday & Sunday, March 19th and 20th. This 2 day Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) course was held at the Carroll County Training Center.
Attendees learned Survivor Skills Awareness through use of Personal Protective Equipment and an introduction to the respiratory protection process. The attendees also were familiarized with the proper use & limitations of, as well as maintenance of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
An introduction to hose lines and foam applications was also part of the curriculum. Successful completion allows these attendees to achieve the level of skills necessary to comply with national standards for responders to hazardous materials incidents and is a prerequisite for other courses. |
