An early morning blaze has left 3 adults and a child without a home.
At approximately 1:30 in the morning, firefighters were summoned to a reported house fire in the 4000 block of Twin Arch Road in Mount Airy. Crews arrived to find fire showing from a farm house. Due to the fire conditions, additional firefighters from the surrounding areas were requested to assist.
Personnel from Howard, Carroll, Montgomery and Frederick counties worked together to fight the blaze. High winds in the area are also believed to be one of the challenges that firefighters overcame in dealing with the blaze.
One resident was evaluated by emergency medical services personnel, but is not believed to have been transported; no other injuries were reported. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is working to determine the cause of the fire. The 4 occupants of the house were displaced, and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
