With 3 of our members in a Maryland Fire Rescue Institute Rescue Technician class, the department provided Rescue Engine 4 to assist with some practical evolutions.

The class had the opportunity to use the skills obtained throughout the class to do stabilization and extrication techniques on two cars. Students also worked off of Carroll County Rescue Squad 4 and got to see and use a compliment of both hydraulic line tools and our new Hurst E-Draulic, as well as Paratech struts for stabilization and our Res-Q-Tech pedal cutter and different styles of windshield saws.

Classes like this are offered regularly through out the year at no cost to members of Maryland Fire and Rescue departments.
