Rescue with Entrapment on I-70

Shortly before 11:30am on Saturday January 2nd, units from Lisbon and Glenwood were alerted for the report of a vehicle accident on I-70 near Woodbine Rd with unknown injuries. Shortly after the initial dispatch the call was updated to a rescue with entrapment on I-70 Eastbound near MM 72. RE4, P45, and CF4 responded along with units from Glenwood, Mt Airy, and HCDFRS command staff. CF4 arrived and established command while RE4 began extricating the patient. Aviation was requested to transport the patient to an area trauma center. Crews extricated the patient in approximately 20 minutes. Units operated on scene for just under an hour before turning the scene over to MSP for investigation.
