Just before 3:30pm on Saturday October 17th, units from Mt Airy, Lisbon, New Market, Damascus, and Sykesville were alerted for a reported barn fire in the 6800 block of Buffalo Rd in Mt Airy. Mt Airy units arrived to find smoke showing from a barn with hay on fire inside. E41 and ET44 responded to assist. While on scene a fire was found in a second building on the property. Lisbon operated on scene for approximately two and a half hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshall’s Office.
