At just before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday January 24th Lisbon VFD and surrounding companies were alerted for a house fire in the 5800 block of Cabbage Spring Rd. in Mount Airy. Lisbon responded with E41, ET44, and WS42 on the first alarm. Units arrived to find fire showing and requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch and Tanker Task Force. Over 25 units from Carroll, Howard, Frederick, and Montgomery counties responded on the call. P45 also responded to the call to assist with several patients.
The fire was placed under control around 6:30 p.m. and our units cleared around 8:30 p.m. While our units operated on the fire we staffed RE4 and A46 in the station while serving customers at our spaghetti dinner. We would also like to thank A66 from the Savage VFC for covering our first due until we placed A46 in service.
