On February 8th just after midnight, Engine 41 was dispatched as the second engine company for the box alarm in the 14000 block of Carriage Mill Drive in Fire Station 13's (Glenwood) first due area, for the reported fire next to the chimney. Engine 41 made an immediate response with 5 personnel.

Engine 41 arrived on location as the first arriving piece, to find a 2 story single family home with fire showing from the bravo side. Engine 41's officer assumed command while the crew stretched an 1.75" cross lay and began knocking the fire on the exterior.

Engine 131 arrived as the second arriving engine and the crew began a primary search of the attic and basement to ensure all residents were out and accounted for, as well as to ensure there was no extension on the interior.

20 minutes after dispatch, the fire was marked out and crews continued to check for extension and do some mop up work. The fire was held to the exterior of the structure and there were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

All crews operated for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to service.
