At approximately 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 18th, Station 4 and Station 13 (Glenwood) were alerted for a trash truck fire on Morgan Station Road in Woodbine. Upon arrival, E41 found a trash truck with smoke coming from the compactor on the truck, with no active fire. E41 held units from Station 4 and returned E131 and TNK13. The trash truck operator dumped the load of trash to prevent extension, and the compactor was opened showing active fire in the compactor. The fire was quickly extinguished by the crews from E41 and ET44. Units operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service.
