On August 17th at approximately 10:00 AM, Engines 131 and 41, Tower 3, Tanker 13, Paramedic 135 and Battalion Chief 2 were alerted for a reported dryer fire in the 14000 block of Union Chapel road.

Tanker 13 and Paramedic 135 arrived with a dryer on fire and knocked it with a dry chemical extinguisher. Engine 41 arrived as the first arriving engine company and began a further investigation.

Engine 41's crew began ventilating smoke from the structure. Damages were contained to the source with slight damage to the wall around it.

With the assistance of 131, 41's crew pulled a section of hose off and soaked the dryer with a foam and water concentration, after removing it from the structure.

Just another example of the great interoperability between the volunteers and Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services career personnel.
