At approximately 17:45 hours (5:45 pm) Structure alarm 14-15 was alerted for the shed on fire in the 5600 block of Manor Drive, alerting units from Winfield, Lisbon, and Sykesville.

Shortly after Engine 142 (Winfield) marked up as responding, Carroll County Dispatch advised them of the corrected address being in the 5600 block of Woodbine Road, that they had received approximately 25 calls for this fire, and were upgrading the call to box alarm 14-1-- which added units from Mount Airy, Westminster, New Windsor as well as a second engine from Lisbon.

Engine 142 arrived on the scene with a fully involved detached shed with multiple exposures and Chief 14 established the command.

Upon arrival of Engine 42, with five personnel, command advised to stretch a second line to the Bravo and Charlie sides of the shed and protect exposures.

Engine 42's crew made access to the Bravo and Charlie side of the shed and began knocking the fire near the exposures, including a woodpile and a car, while Tower 12 (Sykesville) assisted in making access to the bulk of the fire and overhaul. Engine 12 (Mount Airy) arrived and assisted in setting up to provide Engine 42 with foam to assist in extinguishment operations.

Units operated on the scene for approximately an hour.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
