New Ambulance Placed in Service

In May, 2008, the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company No. 4 placed its newest vehicle into service, a 2008 International – Horton ambulance. The new unit replaces a unit that was placed in service in 2001. The older unit had 151,276 miles and was part of a Howard County refresh program that occurs approximately every seven years or 150,000 miles. MVC-- Forsythe Road and Old Frederick Road

Members of Lisbon VFC along with West Friendship VFD and EMS 2 were alerted to a Motor Vehicle Crash with injuries at Forsythe Road and Old Frederick Road on the afternoon of May 23rd. By-standers reported that one victim was unconscious. Motor Vehicle Crash Sends One to Shock Trauma Center

On the evening of May 9th 2008, at 2212 hrs. rescue alarm 4-1 was sounded for the motor vehicle collision with unknown injuries. As the crews were boarding the apparatus, the call was upgraded to MVC with entrapment, adding an additional engine as well as Battalion 2 and EMS 2. Rescue Alarm 4-4: Personal Injury Accident With Auto Fire

Members of Lisbon VFC were alerted at 0118 hours on Monday, April 28th for Rescue Alarm 4-4, Route 97 at I-70. Engine 41, Engine 43, and Paramedic 45 quickly called responding with a total of 8 personnel. Truck Company Training and House Burning

At 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 12th, members assembled at the station and prepared to conduct the training evolution. The members performed various truck company operations to the structure in preparation for the burn.
