Lisbon Assists with House Fire on Gillis Rd

On Tuesday June 25th around 4:00 am, units from Winfield, Mt. Airy, Lisbon, and Sykesville were alerted for the report of a house fire in the 2300 block of Gillis Rd. E141 and M149 from Winfield arrived to find fire through the roof of a 2 story house that appeared to be vacant. The rapid intervention dispatch and tanker task force were requested bringing additional units including P45 on the RID and ET44 on the tanker task force. A second alarm was also requested which brought additional units from the surrounding area. Crews operated defensively for the duration of the incident and no injuries were reported. Lisbon's units operated on scene for approximately 4 hours, clearing just after 8:00am. The scene was turned over to the Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office for investigation.
