The evening of November 2nd, 2018 was a busy one for the crews of Lisbon VFC and surrounding stations due to a tornado in the Mt. Airy area.

At just after 7pm E41 was alerted to transfer to Winfield VFD while their units operated on a working basement fire in Gamber. While E41 was committed volunteers came in to staff RE4. E41 was cleared and returned to the station just prior to the storm.

At just before 8:30pm B47 and CF4 responded for wires down on Penn Shop Road off Rt. 27 and P45 and RE4 were alerted for a vehicle accident with possible entrapment on West Watersville Rd at Boteler Rd in Carroll County. After clearing those calls B47 responded to a property damage vehicle collision on Rt 27 at S Main St. in Mt. Airy and then responded along with RE4 and P45 to a vehicle collision on I-70 EB east of Rt. 27 for an accident involving multiple vehicles and down trees. No injuries were discovered at any of the vehicle accidents caused by the storm. B47, RE4, and P45 transferred to Mt. Airy after clearing the I-70 accident to ensure they had coverage while their units and many other surrounding stations operated on the structure collapses in their area. While transferred P45 and RE4 responded to the 600 block of S Main St. for a medical emergency.

Lisbon's units covered Mt. Airy until approximately 2am on Friday. While units were committed in Mt. Airy additional volunteers covered our first due with E41.
