We are still trying to process the events from early this morning, but would like to update everyone on our activities in the last 12 hours. E41 was alerted to assist on the fire while covering Fire Station 9 at just after 3:30 this morning and has been operating on the scene ever since. At around 8am RE4 responded to Fire Station 9 in Columbia to help cover the east side of the county. Since that time ET44 has been staffed in our station to ensure our first due is adequately covered even though resources county wide are stretched thin. We'd like to thank the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company for assisting this morning in covering our area while crews were organized.

Even in times of great tragedy there is still a job to do and both the Lisbon VFC and HCDFRS will continue to protect the public to the best of our abilities. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who knew or worked with Lt. Flynn. Rest easy brother, we'll take it from here.
