At approximately 4:45 pm on 5/27/18 E41 was alerted to assist with a second alarm apartment fire in the 3200 block of Normandy Woods Drive in Ellicott City. E41 responded with a crew of 4 made up of both career staff and volunteers. E41 assisted on the fire for the duration and was one of the last crews to clear around 6:30pm.

After clearing the fireground E41 assisted with 2 water rescues. The first was at the Weis Market on Waterloo Rd in Station 9's area. E41 worked with crews from Station 9, Savage VFC, and HCDFRS Special Ops to check the vehicle for occupants. E41 cleared and responded on another reported water rescue in the area of Ten Mills Rd and Columbia Rd in Station 7's area. E41 arrived to find a vehicle in floodwater and assisted the occupants out.

While E41 operated in Ellicott City and Columbia the equipment at Station 4 was covered by volunteer crews. A total of 12 volunteers staffed the remainder of the equipment to ensure that the Lisbon area was covered even though a crew was assisting elsewhere. The crews at the station responded to one call for service, a vehicle accident on I-70 near Rt 97 with minor injuries. The Lisbon VFC would like to offer our support to those affected by the flooding and we will continue to assist in any way possible with the recovery efforts.
