On March 15th at 20:57 (8:57 PM), box alarm 13-09 was alerted for the house on fire in the 2600 block of McKendree Road in Glenwood. Engine 41 responded with 4 personnel and arrived on the scene as the second arriving engine company. While enroute, Engine 131 (Glenwood) arrived on location with a 2 story, single family home with heavy fire on the bravo side from the garage and requested 2 additional tankers and the working fire task force.

Command requested that 41 stage its apparatus at the end of the driveway and send the crew back to pull an additional line off of Engine 131 to assist. Due to the intensity of the fire and the weather conditions contributing to the wind driven fire, a second alarm was requested.

Engines 42 and 44 both responded to assist. Engine 42 went to Station 13 to provide a water source from an underground water tank while Engine Tanker 44 responded to the scene to drop off personnel and then began to shuttle water to the scene due to the lack of hydrants in the area.

At 03:05 (3:05 AM) the fire was marked out. Crews proceeded to wrap up tools and apparatus. All crews operated approximately 7 hours before returning to service.

No civilians or firefighter injuries were reported.
